Islington Town Hall is such a fab place and atmosphere to photograph in, I’ve been there many times in either my wedding photographer capacity or with my VW beetle wedding car Polly Pootles. Everyone is just so nice and easy going, the registrars even let me photograph the actual signing of the register which is usually a no-no with many places (us photographers get a variety of reasons why we can’t!).
I had a totally fab day photographing Alex and Tim’s wedding there at the end of July, we were blessed with good weather on the day, thankfully the threatened thunder storms held off till the evening. Tim and Alex are two very happy people, they’d asked me for informal and relaxed coverage, ‘London’, with a handful of group shots, and some portraits at Leadenhall Market and on the Millenium Bridge. The Bridge being next door to their chosen reception venue, the Samuel Pepys Bar. Who knew walking over an air vent by accident would provide such a fab image in total homage to Marilyn Monroe. Et voila!
Thanks to my buddy Andrea of Andrea Whelan Photography for shooting at the ceremony and on the slightly hot bus!
As usual, I’ll let the images do the rest of the talking and many thanks to Alex and Tim for trusting me and going with the flow. Best wishes to you both for the future :)
